In 2006 we embarked on adding a PTO impression to our resume.  Our commander chose the 1/105th Infantry Regiment of the 27th Infantry Division, "New York"  Unfortunately, the event we targeted was cancelled in '07.  Our HBTs would have to remain on the hangers.  In 2007 the "SAIPAN" event was back on and we took it on full stride.    The 27th shall be our mainstay for any future PTO events.  The 27th unit patch is rather interesting.  It actually consist of three letters- N and Y for New York and then a D for Division.  The seven stars are aligned as are the seven brightest stars in the constellation Orion, as a token to General Major O'Ryan, who led the division for seven years.
